How to Migrate from the Free Version of Checklist to the Enterprise Version
This guide outlines the step-by-step process for upgrading from the Free version of Checklist to the Enterprise version. The migration process is designed to be simple, as all checklist data is stored directly on your Jira instance.
Step 1: Understanding Data Storage
Checklist data is stored on your Jira instance. This means:
Your checklist content remains intact and is not lost during the upgrade.
Step 2: Install the Enterprise Version
Navigate to the Atlassian Marketplace and install the Enterprise version of Checklist.
After installation, you will notice two checklist applications available:
Both the Free and Enterprise versions will be visible in your Jira tickets.
They may appear as duplicate checklists temporarily.
Step 3: Migrate Global Templates (If Applicable)
If you have used Global Templates in the Free version, complete this step before uninstalling the Free version:

Manually copy each template's content.
Navigate to the Global Templates section in the Enterprise version.
Paste the copied content to recreate your templates.
Step 4: Uninstall the Free Version
Once you have confirmed that:
The Enterprise version is working correctly, and
Your Global Templates (if any) have been migrated,
Go to Manage Apps in Jira.
Locate the Free version of the Checklist and uninstall it.
This will remove the duplicate checklists and leave only the Enterprise version active.

✅ All necessary Global Templates have been recreated in the Enterprise version
