2.7.0 - Dark Theme Status Colors & Quieter History
Version 2.7.0 gives item statuses their own colors for Jira’s dark theme, stops checklist saves from filling up the issue’s History, and fixes the checklist after closing fullscreen.
Status colors for the dark theme
Section titled “Status colors for the dark theme”Each item status now has its own colors for Jira’s dark theme, alongside the light colors you already have.
- The Statuses page edits the colors of whichever theme Jira is in. Switch Jira to dark to set dark colors, and back to light to set light colors.
- Saving changes only that theme, so your light colors stay exactly as they were.
- Built-in statuses use Atlassian’s dark colors by default. Statuses you created show in gray in dark mode until you pick dark colors for them.
- The color pickers offer the default colors for each theme, the status’s own first, so getting back to a default takes one click.
To switch theme, open your profile picture in Jira and pick a theme.
A quieter issue history
Section titled “A quieter issue history”Checking off items no longer adds a row for every checklist field (Items Done, Checklist Progress and so on) to the issue’s History. The checklist custom fields still update, so JQL search, filters and columns keep working, and the Checklist History tab still records every change.
Fullscreen fix
Section titled “Fullscreen fix”Closing fullscreen mode now takes you straight back to the checklist with your changes, instead of sometimes leaving it blank until you reloaded the page.
Checklist History follows the checklist
Section titled “Checklist History follows the checklist”The Checklist History tab is now hidden wherever the checklist itself is hidden: in projects where the checklist is turned off, on issue types it isn’t enabled for, and for people without permission to view it.
And more
Section titled “And more”- Status names always display as plain text.
- Performance and reliability improvements to the app’s background processing.
